This is the first place to start when you are ready to use Boom Cards in your classroom! If you're still not sure what Boom Cards are and what to learn more about how to use them, click here.

If you already know about them, then you are ready to create a Boom Learning account!

Creating an Account

The first step is to create an account.

Choosing a Membership Plan

After you create your account, you will need to choose a Membership Plan that is right for you. As you can see below, Boom Learning has a membership plan to fit every teacher's needs. You do not need a paid plan to use Boom Cards with your students. If you are wondering how to use them with the FREE plan, click here.

Breakdown of Boom Learning Account Memberships

To get a better understanding of what is included in each Membership, here's a little vocabulary lesson!

FastPlay– Hyperlinks or pins that are generated by Boom Learning that can be shared with your students. Your students can click the links which will automatically take them to the Boom Deck that you created the FastPlay for. This is the way to play Boom Decks with your students using the free account. For more information on FastPlay and FastPins, click here.

Classrooms– This is how many different sections/groups of students you can have. The classroom number is the number of classrooms you can create under your account. If you are a regular classroom teacher with 22 students, you could use the Essential plan and either add all your students to one classroom OR create 3 different classrooms to easily differentiate deck assignments. The Starter plan has 1 classroom but only allows up to 5 students.

Decks– Each product you purchase from the Boom Marketplace or download from Teachers Pay Teachers is called a deck. It is basically a deck of digital task cards. A deck contains a group of digital task cards that focus on a specific skill. You have the option to create your own decks, sell your decks, or purchase decks to use. However, if you want to sell decks you need the Ultimate Membership Plan.

Sellers License- This allows you to sell self-made decks, clipart, or fonts on the Boom Learning Marketplace and on Teachers Pay Teachers. To check out my Marketplace, click here.

Points- When you are shopping for a deck of Boom Cards to purchase in the Boom Learning Marketplace, you will see how many points the deck costs. Points cost a penny (more or less) depending on discounts. See below to learn more about points in relation to price. There are also FREE decks that you can use.

Once you have selected the Membership Plan that best fits your needs, you are ready to start Booming!

If you chose a paid membership, your next step is to create a class and start assigning decks to your students. Click here to read more about that!

If you have already done some shopping on Teachers Pay Teachers shops that sell Boom Cards, like mine, and you're ready to find out how to get your Boom Cards from TPT download to your Boom Library, click here!
